The theme of urban regeneration finds its fundamental reference in Objective 11 of the 2030 Agenda of the United Nations for Sustainable Development which aims to make cities and human settlements inclusive, safe and sustainable. Goal 11 aims to make the cities of the future green through the reduction of negative impacts on the environment, the enhancement of green areas and safe and inclusive public spaces, with specific attention paid to the urban suburbs. Therefore the concept of urban regeneration will have to concern human behavior precisely, since the power of man over himself and over the environment must be regenerated, in order to rediscover social cohesion, and to identify the limits of economic and consumer growth.
