The contribution describe, albeit briefly, the evolution over time of the Master's Degree Course in Architecture (Restoration) of the Sapienza University of Rome, above all in order to stimulate a constructive reflection on the quality of the current educational path, for to be able to train architects, specialists and restorers in an increasingly adequate way. In fact, new choices are expected in a short time that could be challenging, both because in recent decades, in the face of constant cultural and social growth, the problem of the protection of architectural heritage in Italy and in the world has become increasingly felt and current, and because of the current world crisis situation due to the ongoing pandemic.
